OUR FOUNDER
Sean O’Reilly is a graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Architecture where he was fortunate in being able to partake in the Rome Program, a 4 month live/study program in Rome Italy. A keen desire for knowledge and the study of design excellence has taken Mr. O’Reilly across Canada and abroad for both travel and work assignments. He has worked for a number of the most well-known and celebrated architectural firms in North America including Jung Brannen Associates in Boston, IKOY in Winnipeg, Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg, Shore Tilbe Irwin and Partners, and Moriyama + Teshima of Toronto. The last large office was Quadrangle Architects where he was an Associate at the time he left to form 3stones architecture + design in 2002. His experience and expertise spans a wide range of building types and sizes from single family residential to multi-unit, high rise residential, small and large commercial and retail, and public / institutional projects including libraries and community centres. Mr. O’Reilly has been living in the Alliston area since 1990.
Since forming the 3stones architecture + design studio, Mr. O’Reilly has had tremendous success with a wide variety of project types across central and southern Ontario. His clientele includes local governments, large commercial enterprises such as banks, and smaller independent commercial and retail clients. 3stones has also produced numerous highly successful institutional projects both public and private in nature.
Mr. O’Reilly has always believed in the importance of being engaged with the community both locally and within the architectural profession and design community. A list of his community activity includes :
